Zika Potentially a Sexually Transmitted Disease during Rio Olympics warns The Zika Virus Guidebook author Dr John Hagidimitriou

With the current outbreak of Zika Virus in Brazil and its spread to the Americas, the possibility of it becoming a sexually transmitted disease has been discovered. Given several cases were reported in the medical literature, and a case in the USA in February 2016, leads Dr Hagidimitriou author of “The Zika Virus Guidebook” to voice his concerns about the upcoming Rio Olympics and sexual transmission.

Zika may infect local Australian Mosquitoes from international competitors predicts The Zika Virus Guidebook author Dr John Hagidimitriou

Zika Virus could be introduced into local Australian mosquito populations from attendees at Va'a Championships on in May in Queensland, Australia, according to Dr John Hagidimitriou, author of “The Zika Virus Guidebook” an upcoming book.
