One of Hong Kong’s most well-respected award ceremonies was held on 12 December 2015 at the Grand Ballroom of the Harbour Grand Hotel. The prestigious Most Valuable Companies Award (HKMVC) has been known for 16 years as ‘The Oscars Of Hong Kong Business’. Companies are selected based on detailed market surveys, customer feedback and tangible services to the regional and local markets. The over 600 attendees were business pioneers from a diverse range of market sectors in Hong Kong including finance, trading, education, property, hospitality, medical, manufacturing, etc. High-profile attendees included Hugo Boss, SCANIA, Godiva, Hong Kong Express Airways, and Ethiopian Airways.

This year marked a special time for Q Language as Stuart McCutcheon Barrett celebrated 16 years at the helm of this leading education institution. So, being selected again for an award plus the honour of presenting was a great end to 2015 for Q Language. At the awards ceremony, Mr McCutcheon Barrett spoke to fellow business heads about the interesting times ahead for education in Asia. As an aside, it was stated that visa issuing by Hong Kong SAR Gov’t Immigration Dept had become more stringent due to world events.
