Jaya Savannah, Strategy Coach for Holistic Business and creator of Clients & Cash: Promote Your Practice in a Flash has been appointed to the Advisory Board for the Nutritional Aesthetics Alliance (NAA.)
The newly-formed NAA is a professional organization that formally acknowledges and advances the skin-health link as a new field of practice and provides practitioners with resources and certification. Tisha Jill Palmer, Co-Founder and Director of Membership for the NAA stated, “Jaya is a talented business strategist and natural bridge builder and we are in the business of building a strategic bridge between nutrition and aesthetics – a perfect fit. The fact that Jaya is equal parts inspiration and enthusiasm with a healthy dose of “get it done pragmatism” makes her an amazing asset to any team. The fact that she is genuine, sparkly, and a fellow professed elephant lover…well, that’s just icing on the cake.”
Savannah said in response, “The work of the Nutritional Aesthetics Alliance is groundbreaking. There has been a trend of dual-trained practitioners in holistic health and aesthetics, but few professional resources. I’m proud to serve with the industry’s top leaders.”
The health and beauty industries have seen rapid growth in the last decade. Consumers are increasingly aware of nutrition and demanding higher quality foods. Along with paying attention to what goes in their body, consumers are being more selective about what goes on their body. According to Response Magazine, the natural personal care market is expected to hit $46 billion by 2018. Savannah predicts, “One of the hottest trends for 2015 and beyond is nutrition for skin health.”
Savannah explains, “What we are seeing now is practitioners who are specializing in skin health from the inside out. Yet they are still figuring out how to incorporate dual modalities. Nutrition practitioners typically enter the field through nutritionist or health coach certification, while aestheticians are licensed through their State Board of Cosmetology. It’s imperative that practitioners stay within their scope of practice as they expand their services. NAA certification will help to set the standards for professional protocols. I will be lending my expertise to the NAA and providing business education for their members.”
Savannah has been helping holistic health and beauty practitioners with their businesses since 2004.
“When I was searching for a business coach I was looking for someone with an understanding of holistic health, who is patient, flexible, a great listener and who had solid advice-Jaya is all of this and more. I am so grateful to her and I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a coach who can grow with you and really understand the needs of your individual business,” stated Nicole Glassman, owner of Mindful Health in New York, NY.
“I’ve been impressed by Jaya’s vast knowledge, coaching skills and keen insight into our industry. She’s taken great personal interest, and all of the advice she’s given me has been right on the mark. The results validate this. My clientele is growing, I’m in the process of creating my own line of skin care products, I’ve added services, hired additional staff, and so much more.” said Miriam Lytle, owner of Wolf Mountain Day Spa in Grass Valley, CA.
