Enthusiasts of poodle cross dogs, like Labradoodles and Cockapoos, are embracing the 21st Century with a dedicated magazine on their smart phones and tablets.
It is believed that this magazine, now out of its inaugural year, is a first dedicated to poodle cross dogs which are becoming increasingly popular throughout the world. The magazine subscribers are predominantly from the US and the UK but include enthusiasts from as far afield as China.
The magazine caters to enthusiasts of ‘poodle cross’ dogs which include the increasingly popular and well known labradoodle and cockapoo mixes as well as lesser well known mixes with exotic names like sproodles and cavapoos.
Poodle cross dogs, particularly the labradoodle, are becoming increasingly popular due to their friendly docile natures and high levels of intelligence making them ideal pets and very good therapy or helping dogs.
According to the magazine, although Labradoodles are often perceived as hypo-allergenic and non-shedding this is actually a fallacy. Some dogs may shed less and can be less irritating to allergies but they are not truly hypo-allergenic and some shed just as much as other dogs.
The magazine provides dog lovers with informative articles related to health, behaviour and nutrition from a panel of expert authors. Issues often include interviews with owners and profiles of their pets including glossy pictures and amusing anecdotes.
The format is bright and glossy and provides a plethora of high resolution photos and video. In a similar way to the well-known kindle book format the magazine allows you to adjust the size of the font to match the size of the device you are using or the quality of your vision. Videos play inside the magazine a benefit of an electronic format – moving pictures.
You can currently get a free subscription, to check it out for yourself, in the Apple App store for iPhones and iPads or in the Google Play Store for Android devices.
