TWIP Corp. recently filed a provisional patent application entitled “Systems and Methods for Dynamically Generating a Customized Profile for a Person for Based on a Travel-Related Behavior Pattern” on March 16, 2018.
The filing states that “In order to computationally predict consumer desirability, there is a need for a technology to be applied to predict passenger destinations and experiences in the field of tourism.”
In response to the filing, CTO Heather Wilde stated, “Only 8% of patents in the world have a woman listed as the primary inventor. Furthermore, only 1 in 5 have any woman listed at all, and out of those, the majority are jewelry or apparel design patents. There are so few technology utility patents filed by women it barely registers as a statistic.”
With the recent controversy around diversity in Technology and the media, “Systems and Methods for Dynamically Generating a Customized Profile for a Person for Based on a Travel-Related Behavior Pattern” is a strong foot forward for women everywhere.
“Just because you aren’t a “travel company” doesn’t mean you should ignore your customer’s behavioral preferences,” says CEO Lauren A. Koenig. “If brands want loyal customers, experiential consumerism is what they need to get them there.”
